Conclusions: Our findings suggest two distinct phases of tau accumulation: an initial phase best captured by
SEOT, followed by a later phase predominantly reflected by SUVR. SEOT may refine AD staging and help choose
appropriate surrogate measures in trials, particularly for early clinical populations.
