Conclusion: Our results suggest that microstructural integrity of the LC-EC tract is associated with astrocyte
reactivity and elevated tau burden in the earliest asymptomatic stages of the disease, consistent with
postmortem reports. Future analyses will investigate the topography of these associations along the LC-EC tract.
