Background: In vivo Braak staging effectively stratifies patients across the AD spectrum and has the potential to
harmonize tau PET tracer assessment. This study aims to compare and test harmonization procedures for Braak
staging individuals using MK6240 and Flortaucipir tau PET tracers.
Method: We assessed 378 individuals across the AD continuum (213 CU, 119 MCI, 46 dementia; age = 68.5 ± 8.6) with
MK6240 and Flortaucipir scans. Standardized uptake value ratios (SUVRs) were calculated in Braak regions. We
tested two cut-off methods to regional positivity: (a) Mean + 2.5 SD of young individuals (age = 22.9 ± 1.7) (b) Mean +
2.5 SD of CU Elderly A´- individuals (age = 65.2 ± 8.4; Centiloid
